BIO

Basil is a New York State Licensed Real Estate Associate Broker with 14 years of Real Estate Experience.  He has been in the Real Estate business since 2005 when he joined Douglas Elliman in Southold, New York. He spent 11 years there until joining NOFO Real Estate.

Basil was born in Brooklyn, New York, attended New York City Public Schools and received his BA Degree in Economics and Finance from the City College of New York.

He is a US Army Veteran having served active duty and six years of Army Reserves.

He was a Vice President for Merrill Lynch for 24 years before joining Commonwealth Associates of New York as a partner and Chief Operating Officer.  He earned the respect of his Wall Street Associates due to his reputation for his intense work ethic, his diligence, honesty and integrity.

After his successful career working on Wall Street for over 30 years, he decided to move from Manhattan to the North Fork full time in 2005 to live in his Nassau Point home and changed careers to follow his passion for Real Estate.  This is currently his primary residence where he lives with his wife Judy Kelly Asciutto.

Basil spends his winters in Naples, Florida where he is the Broker/Owner of Asciutto Realty LLC. He is an Expert with Vacation and Seasonal Homes where the demographics of both the North Fork of New York and Southwest Florida are often one in the same. He deals with people from all over the world looking to buy Resort Properties.

He received his Florida Real Estate Broker’s license in 2012 after purchasing a home in Naples, Florida. He covers all Southwest Florida including the areas of Naples, Ft. Myers, Estero, Bonita Springs and Marco Island.

He is experienced, diligent and very motivated, and looks forward to finding his clients and customers their ideal properties in paradise whether it’s on the North Fork of Long Island or in Southwest Florida. Basil’s goal is to find his clients their perfect home within their needs and budget.  He always represents his client’s and customer’s interests first.

In order to best represent all his buyer clients, Basil chooses to work as a Buyer Broker. When he signs an exclusive agreement with them to find their property, he is working for them and not for the seller or the seller’s broker. He feels strongly that the optimal way to perform his task professionally and truly represent the interests of the buyers is by focusing on the individual needs of his clients.

With a background in finance and experience as an agent in both New York and Florida, Basil has a wealth of knowledge to share with both sellers and buyers, offering himself as a trustworthy source for information related to local real estate and how best to position yourself in today’s market when buying or selling a home.
